Cheng & Tsui is proud to support Chinese and Japanese language teachers through our Cheng & Tsui Professional Development Grants.
We sponsor two grant programs through the Chinese Language Teachers’ Association, US (CLTA-US). The Cheng & Tsui Professional Development Award for Teachers of Chinese is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of teachers of Chinese, especially teachers new to the field.
The Cheng & Tsui Special Interest Group (SIG) Awards support projects related to pedagogical research and material development.
Both awards are presented each year at the CLTA-US Annual Meeting in April. For details on the application requirements, deadlines, and past recipients, visit CLTA-US.
We also sponsor the Cheng & Tsui Professional Development Grant for Teachers of Japanese through the American Association of Teachers of Japanese (AATJ). This program offers financial support to Japanese language teachers for the purpose of professional development. This award is presented annually at the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Conference in November.
